Directions to Gedling Miners Welfare FC

The Ground is situated on B684 on Mapperley Plains opposite the Tree Tops Public House.

• From Nottingham City Centre - When approaching the ground from Nottingham travel through Mapperley town centre via Woodborough Road and onto Mapperley Plains where you will find Gedling Miners ground situated on the right hand side approx ½ mile beyond Mapperley town centre.

• From the North of the County - via A614 just before its junction with the A60 you will find the Lime Lane Junction and the B684. Climb up the hill and through the traffic lights and eventually round a long right hand bend. The road then becomes
Mapperley Plains Road. You will find Gedling Miners ground situated on the left hand side approx 5 miles from the Lime lane junction just beyond a second set of traffic lights.

• From the South of the County – approaching Nottingham on the A52 bear to the right just before Notts County Cricket Club ground and after passing Nottm Forest’s ground on the left hand side, cross over Lady Bay Bridge and drop down to the lights at the T-junction and turn right – signposted A612 Southwell and Colwick. Move into right hand lane and turn right through next two lights close together and follow signs for A612 Southwell and Colwick.

Continue for 3½ miles through two small roundabouts and several sets of traffic lights with large oil storage tanks on the right hand side and then a Morrison’s Supermarket at the next lights.

Keep to the left and after about ½ mile go through one more set of lights keeping to the left hand lane and then in about 150 yards turn left at the next set of lights immediately before a railway bridge onto Shearing Hill signposted Gedling and Arnold. Continue for about 1½ miles through Gedling village, go straight on at the mini roundabout and two large dips in the road. At the traffic lights at the top of the hill turn left onto B684 signposted

Nottingham. The ground is about 200 – 300 yards along on the left hand side.

• From the West of the County – follow the Nottingham Ring Road all the way round to it’s junction with Mansfield Road – the A60. From the outside lane turn left at this junction and then immediately right into Thackeray’s Lane at the next set of lights. Follow this road to the next roundabout and take the third exit into Arno Vale Road. Continue along this road through one set of traffic lights and climb the hill up to a second set at Mapperley Plains. Turn right at this set of lights towards Nottingham and the ground is 200 – 300 yards along on the left hand side.
