DIRECTIONS TO THE POPLARS SPORTS GROUND

From Lowdham – take the A612 towards Nottingham from the Lowdham roundabout and pass through Bulcote and into the 30 mph zone in Burton Joyce. Continue through the village to the crossroads just before a Pelican Crossing with a barber’s shop on the left hand corner and a newsagents on the opposite side.

Turn left at these crossroads into Station Lane and go over the railway level crossing – The Poplars Sports Ground is on the right hand side.

From Colwick & West Bridgford – follow the Eastern Loop Road through Colwick. Carry straight on through the traffic lights at the Victoria Retail Park with the Morrisons store on the right and Aldi on the left keeping to the right hand lane signposted A612 Southwell.

Continue along the A612 into Burton Joyce to reach the crossroads in the middle of the village with a newsagents shop on the left and a barber’s shop on the right. Turn right at these crossroads into Station Lane and go over the railway level crossing – The Poplars Sports Ground is on the right hand side.

From Nottingham– take the B684 from Nottingham (Woodborough Road) and continue through Mapperley town centre along Mapperley Plains passing Gedling Miners Welfare FC ground on your right. At the next set of traffic lights turn right towards Gedling on the A6211. Follow this road down through Gedling village, over a mini roundabout until you reach Shearing Hill and a set of traffic lights at a T-junction. Turn right at these lights and follow the road round to meet the Eastern Loop Road at the next set of lights with the Halfords store across the road. Turn left at this junction onto the A612 towards Burton Joyce and Southwell.

Continue along the A612 into Burton Joyce to reach the crossroads in the middle of the village with a newsagents shop on the left and a barber’s shop on the right. Turn right at these crossroads into Station Lane and go over the railway level crossing – The Poplars Sports Ground is on the right hand side.

From Newark

Follow the A46 dual-carriage way towards Leicester until you reach a large road sign labelled ‘Margidunum Island’ and ‘Mansfield A6097 / East Bridgford / Bingham & Ind Estate’. Take the slip road off the A46 and turn right over the dual-carriage way and follow the A6097 over the River Trent at Gunthorpe Bridge to Lowdham.

At the roundabout turn left and take the A612 towards Nottingham from the Lowdham roundabout and pass through Bulcote and into the 30 mph zone in Burton Joyce. Continue through the village to the crossroads just before a Pelican Crossing with a barber’s shop on the left hand corner and a newsagents on the opposite side.
