U12 Reprotec Shield

TOOT HILL 4 v 1 BECKET

Toot Hill School from Bingham had the chance of a ‘double’ in the two County Cup Under 12 finals held at the Poplars Ground, Burton Joyce but although their boys were obviously the better side as they defeated Becket Academy 4-1 in the final of the 9-a-side Reprotec Shield, their girls’ side came up against a very strong Hucknall National Academy side in the West Bridgford Colts Shield final and went down 4-0.

In the boys’ game. Toot Hill were generally too strong for Becket Academy although the former defended well in the first half to restrict the Bingham school to a 1-0 lead at the interval. Becket owed a lot to goalkeeper Cameron Keogh who continued to shine as his side struggled to control their strong opponents. Joshua Powell also did well in midfield but Becket eventually lost 4-1.
